Staff Development/Management Support
We see our support and input into the development of a knowledge base that can apply strategy, marketing and communications specifically for the education sector as second to none. We continue to believe that many in education operate from a basis that lacks understanding of strategy, marketing and communications.
At a broad level, we have developed
- Masters level University level programs on education marketing (currently taken up by students worldwide)
- Produced many articles for reputable publications such as Teacher, Independence, Campus Review, NZ Education Review (NZ), UK Education Marketing.
We offer in service training that will assist with the professionalism of marketing and communications staff.
Management Support
The Knowledge Partnership supports senior managers, and communications or marketing management in a number of ways. Increasingly in recent years, we have been approached for retained services arrangements. It is increasingly recognised that in spite of expansion in marketing related staff in recent years, the key requirement is high level and on-going strategic and market intelligence support and advice to set the platform for operational success.
At present we have retained strategic service agreements with major independent schools across Australia and New Zealand. We would be pleased to discuss further how this works and assist your school in aligning marketing activity to overall school strategic intent, as well as high level expertise in tactical marketing and communications.
We firmly believe that marketing and communications in the knowledge sectors is different because of the centrality of people and culture. Many great marketing and communications directors and senior middle managers have joined the sector but they have found adjusting to their new context a challenge. We therefore offer flexible mentoring and coaching support which might be delivered through telephone conversations, email and the occasional review meeting. The benefit is a more effective manager more quickly:
- Improved cultural sensitivity
- Speedy understanding of the regulatory environment
Less need to go on expensive and off-the-shelf training.
More experienced managers may wish to use the service when they face specific challenges too - new responsibilities, crises, piloting through a strategy for the first time.
We can help you in search and selection, or work with your consultants. We have been counsel for many clients in placing new directors. We are extremely well networked - again across relevant countries and sectors. We can also help with
- Short-listing
- Interviewing
Developing practical screening exercises
From 2010, we shall be also offering executive recruitment services for independent school Heads/Principals, capitalising on our extensive network and association within the sector.
Interim management is a viable solution when a senior staff member leaves or takes maternity. There may be special projects where you simply need "trusted arms and legs" or where you do not have specialist staff in-house to meet the brief.
But here's the difference. Our site will be visited by professionals from several advanced English speaking counties and other knowledge sectors.
