David Roberts
Director, Marketing Practice

David Roberts is the Managing Partner and the UK’s most experienced education marketing consultant (over 20 years). The founding CEO of Heist he was the first marketing director in the UK higher education sector (Trent 1987).

David is a longstanding member of the CIPR, the Marketing Academy and the Marketing Society. He has led projects in Europe and Australasia, has published widely and spoken at over 50 conferences in many countries.

David has specialist expertise in reputation management, course portfolio evaluation methods, positioning, fees and pricing and systems evaluation

Louise Simpson
Director, Communications Practice

Louise Simpson specializes in senior strategic relations for educational institutions, with an emphasis on high-profile leadership, internal communication and stakeholder communications. Before helping to create The Knowledge Partnership, she was Director of Communications at the University of Cambridge where she advised senior management on their media and corporate communications and liaised with the international media.

Louise is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has been rated a stellar speaker for CASE. In 2007/8 she led a major project on the communications and reputations of the World 100 universities. She also helped the European Commission devise a brand for Europe (see http://www.study-in-europe.org), which is now reaching its first reporting phase, and is due to be extended because of its success. Louise has led the work on HEliX and also the World 100 Communications Network.

Lisa Thompson
Senior Market Researcher

Lisa Thompson has worked for The Knowledge Partnership since graduating in Psychology from the University of York in 2005. She leads on web based research (alumni, staff, students, prospects, international etc) but is also experienced at in-depth interviews (parents, teachers, graduate employers) and focus group work with students and prospective students. She undertook most of the analysis supporting our published research into the market impact of league tables. Client work has included working for several Russell Group universities as well as colleges, modern universities and international clients. MRS qualified, she has just completed a sponsored MSc in Services Marketing. Her grasp of online assessment tools was key to developing HEliX.

Adam Cresswell
Market Researcher

Adam Cresswell has recently joined The Knowledge Partnership following his undergraduate degree in Marketing at Aston University where he achieved a 2:1. Adam spent time during his studies at a small market research company where he became proficient in quantitative research techniques. Adam will be a key team member in developing The Knowledge Partnership's diagnostic tools for portfolio review and development.
